A very apt conversation took place between us friends the other day... the big question that was put forth was... "IS IT POSSIBLE TO REMAIN IN A COMMITMENT WITH ONE PERSON FOR EVER?"
We all on the surface agreed to it.. but one bold (not in the explicit terminology of being a cheap shot but just the tone) voiced an opinion which Atleast I agree with. It is not earthly possible to remain devoted to one mortal creature for all eternity.
Now the obvious reason for this short lived attraction isn't obvious... but let's just say we have a pair of twenty three chromosomes... all of which carry diiferent traits of the personality (science freaks please don't kill me if I'm wrong)
Now when we look for a probable partner/ mate we look for qualities that appeal to us... not all qualities are possessed by one man alone and he may not be custom made according to your preference... someone's eyes appeal to you, another's voice and so you're compatible with not one but with quite a few people...
So the obvious conclusion one comes to is that if your emotions flit from one being to another you aren't necessarily being a douchebag or a cheater in a relation... just thank god you're a normal human being and move on in life...!!

Attraction... exaltation... inherent tragic downfall...

The child
It is said, the child is the father of man.
To some extent I agree with this statement, childhood is perhaps the most blissful stage of human life. Free from worries and cares. Ignorant of the traps and snares the material world lays down for us. It can be said that childhood is the one stage where the imaginative power of the mind is at it's best. "I can be anything, anywhere, at anytime." Life is a rosy garden. Where a small corner, especially under the table makes one feel so secure, where the space under the bed has this big bad boogieman waiting to jump out and scare you if you be a bad kid.
Where every christmas gifts left in your stockings are believed to be brought in by santa. Life is full of meaning. But somewhere in the tedious process of growing up one leaves all this behind. Where once we believed that eating spinach makes us like 'popeye the sailor man' now we know it's nothing but food... dull boring food.
Somewhere in the midst of being accepted by society and all those teary heartbreaks we forget to live and most importantly love... love ourselves, our own people, love life as the beautiful gift that has been bestowed upon us.
Why do we do this to ourselves. Why can we not retain the bubbly 'anything is possible' spirit that we had as children. Is it because the world made you that way or is it because you've made the world as it is today. Chew upon this thought my friend. Chew upon it.
